CHAKKAKURU MEZHYUKUPERUTTI (JACKFRUITSEEDS)

Chakkakuru Mezhyukuperutti

Today i wanted to make something spicy yet naadan in veg. I had bought few jackfruit seeds bought from market last weekend. This is another of my hubbys favourite and mne too :)..

Ingredients :

Chakkakuru - 100gms
Curry Leaves - 2 strips
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Chillie Powder - 1/4 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1 tbsp (coarsely grinded)

On tip to peel chakkakuru easily is to keep it soaked in hot water for long or pressure cook till one whistle and u can easily peel the skin off :)

Once peeled cut into slices. In a pan make oil hot add in the sliced jackfruits seeds and athe turmeric and chilli pwder. Mix and add curry leaves.. Saute for a about a 2-3 mins and then add in pepper powder. saute till seeds get crisp on medium flame or according to your consistency :).. serve hot with rice and a fish fry :)..great combo ;)

P.S : u can onions and red chillie if needed :) or nay combination of ur choice..This is the easiest, fastest and yet tastiest way to make :) Enjoy!!

Cheers,
Neetz ;)

My mom prepares a pallya kind out of it... Everyone loves it in my place.... It is often used as an addition, with anything else, be it veggie or fishy....
