CHOLE (Chana Curry)

Chole

I actually was plannig to make this with Batura..But unfortunately batura didnt turn out as nice as I was expecting :'(.

So just made chole which is simple and we have it frequently with chapathi for dinner :) Do try and let me know guys how it turned out for u :)

Ingredients :

Chana - 1 1/2 cup
Onion - 2 medium chopped finely
Tomato - 2 medium (1-pureed) and the other cut into four)
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder- 3/4 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Salt
Oil

Preparation:

Saok chana overnight and cook in pressure cooker till chana is done with salt. I cooked fr 12-13 whistles. Let it cool down.

Heat oil in a kadai and splutter cumin seeds. Add in chopped onions and ginger-garlic paste and ssaute till onions become light brown in color. Then add in the purred onions and saute till pulpy and then add in the powders. Saute till oil leave the sides and then add in the cooked channa with water an saute. Sprinkle garam masala on top and cover and cook for about 5 mins. Then ad din the tomatoes and cover and cokk till chole has reached your desired thickness and consistency. check salt if needed.

Cheers,
Neetz ;)

Mouthwatering Chole. Baturas can be tricky, sometimes they come out perfect and sometimes they are just flat with the recipe! But love them with Chole.
