PEANUT CANDY (Kadala Mithai)

Peanut Candy

I have been thinking to make something with peanut. Then i thought of this mithai which is almost everyones fav and the easiest to make :)... So here it is...

Peanut - 1 cup
Jaggery - 1 cup
Ghee

Roast the peanuts in low flame till the skin of the peanuts comes off easily when u rub between your hands. Remove skin and keep aside.

In a plate rub ghee and keep aside.

In a pan add a bit water and mekt the jaggery to a consistency where when you drop a bit of jaggery in cold water, it will become into round ball. When u touch in water you can mould the jaggery bit too. Thats how the consistency should be tested. Then add in little bit of ghee mix and then mix in the peanuts and spread on tot he plate which was rubbed with ghee. Once the mixture had cooled down (approx 3-5 mins) make small round balls with your palm and keep it to cool completely. Store in an air tight container.

Cheers,
Neetz ;)
