Sabudana Tikkiya
This one is one hubbys fav!!! i never used to liek Sabudana... but as time changed, i too started liking it..What to say.. thats how life is all about - changes :)
Ingredients:
Sabudana - 1 cup (big round ones
Boiled peeled Potatoes – 2 med
Green chilli - 1 or 2 nos (according to spice. I used 2 nos )
Ginger - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
Chillie Powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - for frying (shallow)
Preparation:
Soak the sabudana for 3 hours in water. Meanwhile boil the potatoes in a pressure cooker. I pressure cooked for 3 whistles. Let it cool and then peel the potatoes and smash them. Once the sabudana is soaked for 3 hours, clean the sabudana and press gently with your hands so that all the water from the sabudana is drained out and then mix all the ingredients including potatoes and make small balls. Flatten them with your hand as you would do for a cutlet.
Put oil in a pan, and fry the sabudana tikki till light brown. Shallow frying is better than deep fry as it would better for your health compared to deep fry. Serve hot with tomato ketchup. Kids would love it :)
P.S : You can add jeera for taste if you need.
Cheers,
Neetz :)
