I guess I am on simple recipe freak week..he he he... Cant help it posting all the simple recipes especially for you guys who really want to make easy and tasty food in a jiffy :). Yam is very healthy and this actually does not use much of oil too.So here goes...
Yam - 1 medium ( cleaned, skinned and cut into small cubes)
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 1.5 tsp
Curry Leaves - 2 twigs
Onions - 1 big sliced
Garlic - 4 big cloves sliced
In a pan add in a bit water and put in all the ingredients (except the ones under frying). Boil the yam till soft and not mashed or overdone. In case water gets dried off, add in a little more water till you get the yam done and dried without water.
Then in a pan, add in bit oil (as we had oil already in the mix before), add in the curry leaves. After 10 seconds add int he onions, garlic and yam. Over low flame, saute and fry till you get a slight brown color for the yam. Serve with hot rice or roti :)
