GREEN SAUSAGE PULAV ( Microwaved)

Green Sausage Pulav

Palak is one of the dish which usuaslly people dont favour the taste. I am one of them..he he he..i always find some or other way to use palak in some dishes. This recipe, which I have shared with you all, got it from a TV channel. The best part is that no cooking on gas just microwave :). I was actually not hoping for it to turn out good as it had palak. But to wonders it was tasting so good that i 'had' to share this with you all :)

Ingredients :

Basmati Rice - 1 cup
Water - 2 cup

Palak - few leaves boiled and grinded to paste without water (i used around 7-8)
Ginger - 1 small piece
Garlic - 3 cloves(if big) and 6 nos (if the cloves are small)
Sausage - 4 nos cut round
Ghee - 1/2 tsp
Onion - 2 nos med sliced
Chillie - 2 nos
Cilantro leaves- 1 1/2 tbsp
Mint leaves - 1 tbsp
Paneer and nuts- fried in ghee or butter for garnishing
Salt

Wash and soak the rice in 2 cups of water for 20 mins. Make sure you use good water as we will be using the same saked water for cooking.
Grind cilantro (malli ella), mint leaves, ginger, garlic, salt without water and keep aside. In case your grinder does not grind properly put little water to make it grind to smooth. In a microwave pan, brush the ghee, then add in onions, sausages, chilli, and the grinded paste and microwave for 4 minutes. After that, add in the basmati rice with water together with the grinded palak. mix properly and then microwave for 18 mins on high. in between keep stirring the the whole rice mixture to cook evenly. and continue to microwave till 18 mins are up. Serve and garnish with fried panner and nuts :)....

Enjoy with mango achar and curd :)

Actually my pulav is looking less greener as i have used less palak. You can use more of palak if you are ok with the taste for more greener color.. Also for the veggie people...you cna add in beans, carrot, cauliflower or any veggie of ur choice :)...even non-veggies can add all these together with the sausage. :)

Cheers,
Neetz ;)
