Lauki-potato Curry and a break!!
This is one dish which has the taste of both ofthe north and south cuisine mixed :) :)... doubtful right..he he he...i tried as an experiement and all my folks just loved it..even my neighbour friend.. And it best suits with chappati... lauki is one veggie which most of us dont favour much :).... but this curry will make you say.." yes lauki " !!! :D
I will be shifting to a new flat within this week and it will a time once i get my internet back and running... so hoping to see soon with another dish and to all my bloggy friends... i m really not getting time to visit often and pass on my thoughts to each one of ur wonderful world of tastes..plz dont feel sad on that..i will soon try to be on the loop with u all :)

Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
SaltFor Tempering:
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp

Red Chilli - 1 or 2 no
Garam Masala - 1 tsp

Preparation:
In a pressure cooker, add in water with the powders and salt and put in the lauki and potato. Pressure cook till it is cooked. I cooked for 3-4 whistles.Once cooled, open and smash the mix with spoon nicely.
In a pan, Add in oil. Once hot, add in mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Once it starts spluttering, add in the curry leaves and red chilli. Saute for 10 seconds and add in the smashed curry into this. Add in the garam masala powder and cook for 2-3 mins over low flame and serve warm with roti/chappati :)..
Cheers,
